Thanks to being raised in an environment that fostered creativity and performance, Matty's passion for music bloomed at a young age. He began playing piano at age five and later went on to train in percussion, winning a percussion solos competition at Universal Studios Florida in his senior year at Enrico Fermi High School. From there he attended the Hartford Conservatory for Jazz with a major in Performance Arts followed by Albertus Magnus College with a focus on Business Leadership and Management. Coming from a family that owns several small businesses, Matty knew that he wanted to open his own store to make music more accessible in the community. His interest in instruments and recording has translated to future generations as you can often find his son, Nick, helping with both lessons and sales.

OBJECTIVE

We believe that music should be available for everyone to watch, listen to, or learn about regardless of their level of experience. Matty's Music is unique for our attention to and patience for younger children and people with special needs. We strive to be a safe place for people of all ages and backgrounds to come and explore their musical identity.
